In 2011, Linde and the Finnish company Viking Line signed an agreement for the delivery of LNG to Viking Grace, Viking Line's new LNG-powered cruise ship, which is a forerunner in the shipping industry thanks to its outstanding environmental profile.

With a capacity of 2,800 passengers as well as a large vehicle deck, the new ship commenced operations between Stockholm and Turku in January 2013. Bunkering of the Viking Grace is carried out via the SEAGAS, Linde's innovative LNG bunker barge solution.

The SEAGAS functions as a "floating bunker station" for flexible ship-to-ship bunkering in less than an hour. The vessel was officially inaugurated on the 20th of March 2013 in Stockholm.
